Recently we took this antique marble fireplace from Paris. A beautiful specimen due to the beautiful color shades and shape. A real Louis XV fireplace that is characterized by its graceful shape and the scallops. The marble type is called Rance de Belgique. Rance is a village in the Belgian province of Hainaut and used to enjoy world fame because of the red marble that was mined there. In addition to the marble type Rance de Belgique, there are also more famous marbles from Belgium including: Noir de Mazy, Griotte Rouge, Gris de Ardennes and Rouge Royal.
