Versailles Parquet Panels | Le Marais
The Le Marais – Versailles parquet panel is the most exclusive floor in our Le Marais Collection: handcrafted European oak parquet in the classic Versailles pattern, produced entirely by hand using traditional joinery techniques. Each panel is built with original mortise-and-tenon connections, honouring the way historic palace floors were made.
At 98 cm x 98 cm per panel, this Versailles parquet is designed for high-end residential and hospitality projects worldwide – from townhouses and country homes to boutique hotels, chalets and private member clubs. Panels are subtly aged, pre-coloured and protected twice, so the floor arrives ready to install on site.

Handcrafted the Traditional Way
Our Versailles parquet panels are produced entirely by hand in our own workshop. Each panel is assembled using traditional mortise-and-tenon joints, just as historic parquet was made for European palaces and grand townhouses. This construction provides both authenticity and stability, and allows the pattern to read as a genuine piece of joinery rather than a surface effect.
As a family-owned company with more than 25 years of experience in high-quality oak flooring and reclaimed materials, we deliberately limit production to preserve quality and craftsmanship. Every panel is individually checked before it leaves our workshop.
Appearance, Colour & Finish
The Le Marais Versailles parquet is designed to feel quietly luxurious rather than overly distressed. The oak is:
- subtly aged to soften edges and create a refined, timeworn character,
- pre-coloured in a carefully balanced tone that works with both classic and contemporary interiors,
- protected with two coats of finish for practical resistance in daily use.
Because the panels are prefinished and fully prepared in our workshop, the product arrives ready to install. In most projects, only final cleaning and detailing after installation are required, which helps to streamline on-site scheduling and reduces disruption.

FAQ – Le Marais Versailles Parquet
How big is each Versailles parquet panel?
Each panel in the Le Marais Versailles collection measures 98 cm x 98 cm, which is approximately 0.96 m² / 10.3 sq ft. This makes it straightforward to calculate how many panels you need for your project based on the total floor area.
Is the Versailles parquet really handcrafted?
Yes. Each panel is 100% handcrafted in our workshop in the Netherlands using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. We do not use a simplified or purely decorative construction – the pattern is built as genuine joinery, much like historic palace parquet floors.
Is the floor prefinished or does it need to be finished on site?
The Le Marais Versailles parquet is supplied pre-coloured and protected with two coats in our workshop. The panels are ready to install, which significantly reduces finishing work on site. After installation, your installer will typically carry out only final cleaning and detailing.
Can I order Versailles parquet with navettes?
Yes. In addition to the classic Versailles layout, we can also produce a Versailles parquet with navettes on request. If you are interested in this version, please mention it when you request your quotation so we can confirm pricing and lead time.
What is the current lead time?
The current lead time is approximately 6–10 weeks from order confirmation, depending on order size and our workshop schedule. For time-sensitive projects, we recommend contacting us as early as possible so we can align production and delivery with your construction programme.
Do you ship the Versailles parquet worldwide?
Yes. We regularly supply international projects and can arrange in-house crating, ISPM 15 compliant packaging, transport, insurance and assistance with customs paperwork where required. We can ship to a freight terminal, port, airport or – where possible – directly to your site or warehouse.
How can I request a quotation?
Simply send us your floor plans, the approximate square meter or square foot requirement, your project location and any deadlines you are working with. Let us know whether you prefer the classic Versailles pattern or the version with navettes, and we will prepare a detailed quotation, including volume pricing for larger projects and, if required, international shipping options.
