Black marble framed by rounded Boudin mouldings
This antique marble mantelpiece pairs the deep black of Nero Marquina with contrasting white veins. Dating from circa 1860–1880 and originating from the 5th arrondissement of Paris, it is a Louis XIV-style Boudin model. Its straight outline and rounded inner mouldings give the richly patterned stone a clear, understated setting.
